My job as a manager in the retail industry was draining me and above all taking its toll on my spiritual life including missing Sunday and mid-week services. On one of the rare occasions I made it to church in December 2008, the pastor’s message left me with an astounding fact that anything or anyone that is drawing you away from God’s presence or stopping you from serving God is not from God. I laboured with this word in prayer and fasting and it gave life to the dream I have always had to own my personal business. To God’s glory, I resigned from my retail job, have more time than ever before to serve God while at the same time managing my own business even in this time of recession without regrets and indeed God has been very faithful.
M.N My pastor has been encouraging us to keep the prayer watch at night and I keyed into this starting at 3am and every 3 hours afterwards. I was praying in tongues on 2nd April, 2009 on my way from work prior to my involvement in a ghastly motor accident. Meanwhile, on that same day my pastor had unusually stopped somewhat during the Empowement & Prayer Hour, on the fortunate Wednesday, to pray a prayer of protection for the membership of the church according to a friend that was in attendance later related to me. I suffered no main injuries or broken bones as grisly as the accident was – my car was written off. I was even strengthened enough after coming out of my car’s wreckage to keep praising God and prophetically declaring to the other trapped victim of the accident that she will not die but live and she did! In all, the whole commitment to pray more and the whole experience has made me to desire more of God and crave for deeper relationship with God.J.BWithin a year after I started worshipping at Kingdom Arena, I could see amazing but traceable changes in my life and family. The remarkable turnaround hinges on the sound teachings and scriptural doctrines being taught by the pastor. This birthed in me a new courage that conquered even when I lost my job, in which case I would have been inconsolable if it were before I was exposed to these timeless truths. Even my husband who was never interested in church is now part of the family of God in this assembly. My faith in God is now growing as evidenced by my praying for a sick woman at the hospital bed, which I would never have done. This singular act of faith divinely connected me with my new job as the woman I prayed for linked me up with my current employment. Lastly, I believed God as the pastor prophetically declared concerning my application for permanent residency in the UK, I took several steps of faith including giving a thanksgiving offering while I was still expecting the outcome of the application, to God be the Glory, the application was successful. My family and I are enjoying every minute of our everyday life like never before as we sow our lives in His service within the household of faith.A .C
